2023 Hybridisation of Ideas for sustainability challenges
Hybridisation of Ideas for sustainability challenges
Dear fellow innovator and sustainability warrior,
Hope this finds you well giving a fresh start to 2023!
I am pleased to invite you to the online gathering of [Hybridisation of Ideas for sustainability challenges].
In the past seven years, we met each other through various events and projects under the theme of solutions for sustainability challenges. Altogether hundreds of you participated from around the world through various formats, themes and locations such as innovation hubs for textile in Sri Lanka or SME waste in Thailand, mountain plastics in Nepal; MAKEathons for food in Europe, climate crisis and plastic in South Korea, agriculture in Nigeria; or IDEAathons for mattress upcycling in Thailand.
Each time we never failed to surprise ourselves with the new innovations we created through cross-pollinating old and new ideas.
Some of us is in the process of developing the innovations further, and some others moved on. Now, I’d like to propose you to come together once again and see how to maximise hybridisation of our thoughts and ideas for actions to tackle the on-going, formidable challenge facing the humanity.
“Climate Change is the result of more than a century of unsustainable energy and land use, lifestyle and patterns of consumption and production… how taking actions now can move us towards a fairer, more sustainable world.” <IPCC Working Group III Co-Chair Jim Skea>
And of course, it will be super nice to see your smiley faces and listen to your fun stories!
